My Lecture - High Impact Magic
Last night I presented my lecture (High Impact magic - great name eh?!) to the [Leicester Magic Circle -> http://www.leicestermagiccircle.org/], which went really well. The guys seemed to like what I had to show them and I don’t think it was just because I am a member!
They liked that I showed them real-world routines and explained the thinking behind them, rather than just presenting one-off tricks requiring special props. I also showed them some new stuff, because quite a few of them have seen my repertoire before. The best bits (in my completely unbiased opinion) were my coin in bottle and ambitious card routines, and the Greeting Card - an effect where someone names one card in the pack and it is the only one with a personalised message on the back, e.g. ‘Happy Birthday’.
I’m in the process of sorting out more lectures for this year, the details are yet to be confirmed.
